The Bride's entrance to the wedding via horse and carriage:
|

|
The carriage picks the Bride's party up at the Bride's dressing cottage
and travels on the carriage road along the shore of the river out of
sight of the wedding guests. The first appearance of the Bride is on
the dam of the lake on the far side of the lake. The carriage continues
over the dam and then along the shore of the lake in full view of the
wedding guests. The carriage comes to a stop on the carpeted aisle for
the attendants, and the bride, to step off of the carriage and walk
(on carpeting) to the wedding gazebo. |
The carriage would wait at the end of the aisle for the Bride and
Groom's exit together. It is a perfect opportunity to provide bubbles
or real flower petals to be used as the Bride and Groom exit the
ceremony up the aisle. The Bride and Groom then ride the carriage
around the lake together as the guests are released from the ceremony.
Usually the guests congregate on the lawn and cheer the Bride and Groom
as they return to the cocktail reception underway.
At this time the horse and carriage is available to all of the guests
to take a ride around the lake during the cocktail reception before
dinner is served. |
